THE RILEY/LAND COLLECTION
The day I asked my people who was interested in these raw, organic simple syrups from France, I ended up with pre-orders for more than two dozen bottles. And when they arrived, the response was unanimous - they're winners. Super concentrated, with excellent flavor representations. Bacanha was founded in 2013, and they have worked hard to create the ultimate blend for these syrups. The base of the raw syrup is a certified organic pure cane sugar from South America. Then, they infuse flavors into the syrup, with the goal of reaching the ideal balance between pH and brix, ie acidity and sugar level. Most of the raw syrups have a pH of less than 4.5 and a brix around 60°. None of that last part makes sense to me, but goes to show that they put real time in doing research to get the perfect blend.
Raw Falernum Syrup by Bacanha is a sweet and spicy concentrate. Its assertive vanilla flavor and lemony taste harmonize with its slightly peppery ginger smell. Falernum raw syrup is ideal for use in your cocktail and mocktail recipes. It can also be used in your favorite recipes such as cocktails and iced teas. FYI: falernum is often used in Caribbean cocktails, as a kind of bolder version of orgeat.
Ingredients of organic falernum syrup: pure organic cane sugar, water, natural flavors: lemon, ginger, almond, vanilla with other natural flavors, acidify: citric acid.
