Marshall Footed Grazing Board (Black Walnut + Spalted Maple)

This long, skinny board is made from one slab of Black Walnut, flanked by live edge Spalted Maple wood. It is fitted with four small legs to give it a little more height, and with that, an elevated aesthetic. Makes for a perfect cutting board / charcuterie board / cheese board / or even centerpiece for large dining table.

The roots of these pieces share history with the roots of my family - on our farm in rural Tennessee. The vast majority of the wood comes from one of our parcels of land. We believe in being as zero waste as possible, so we have developed ways to utilize nearly every cut of wood, even down to ensuring that the shavings find a new home in Raku firing or gardening mulch/compost.

The pieces we craft are made to last a lifetime, durable enough to use rather than to just sit on a shelf looking pretty. The grain, tone, and character of the wood are part of the design. Each piece is - quite naturally - one-of-a-kind.
