RLC No. 79 | Afterglow

September represents the waning days of summer: lingering on the porch, the last beach trip of the year, golden light, soft fabrics and warm skin. It's almost as if September is the manifestation of the golden hour, as it celebrates summer's memory more so than the beginning of fall. 

With notes of peach, rice milk, violet, lavender, amber, coconut, and sandalwood, enhanced with musk and marine notes, my mind kept going back to the concept of the representation of the golden hour - or an afterglow - as summer fades away. Peach = brightness, rice milk = softness, marine notes = the beach and the wonder of summer, amber and musk = lingering warmth. This is literally what an afterglow is. It had to be the name.
