"Sunshine" Pixie Tangerine Marmalade

Ojai, California has 52 different family-owned farms growing Pixie Tangerines. The trees take approximately 7-8 years before producing, and after they do, they are alternate bearing, meaning they only produce tangerines every other year. On average, 1 out of 400 blossoms turn into harvestable fruit, and the tangerines must mature and survive on the trees for almost a year before they are picked at the very end of the season. 

Marmalade Grove owns a 30-acre farm, where they harvest their annual Ojai Pixie Tangerines and make a limited-edition marmalade that "tastes like sunshine," hence the name.
